Personal information collected by SEC includes the following:

·         If you sign up for a new products updates (e.g. mail/email and/or SMS), we may ask for information which identifies you as a customer.

·         If you choose to provide us with personal information by sending an email, or by filling out a form with your personal information and submitting it through the Web Site, we may use that information to respond to your message and to help us provide you with the information that you have requested.

 

Your information is collected strictly for administrative, product update and the intended purpose at point of collection only. Except where specifically provided in these Terms and Conditions, the information you provide will NOT be released to any third party without your permission except where SEC considers the release appropriate to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, property and safety of SEC, its members or others. In cases where we obtain your permission to disclose your Personal Information to any third party, all such parties will be under obligation to maintain the security and confidentiality of the Personal Information, and to process the data in accordance with our instruction.

We may share necessary information with other SEC Group companies which have been authorised to carry out specific services to process any application(s) or service(s) you have made, so as to serve you in the most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by law.

Emails From SEC

Attractive and graphics-rich emails are a quick and effective way to communicate with our customers and subscribers about new products and upcoming events. SEC will maintain an opt-out, subscription database of users who have requested to receive these emails. Every email you receive provides an option for you to unsubscribe to such information.

Access And Updating

SEC will provide access to, update and/or amend the Personal Information in accordance with applicable law. You may request access to, and have the opportunity to update, amend or withdraw your Personal Information by contacting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) using the details in the Contact Us section below. For security reasons, SEC reserves the right to take steps to authenticate the identity of the requesting party before providing access to Personal Information in accordance with this section of the Privacy Policy.

Retention, Security And Privacy

SEC will store personal information only for the time necessary for fulfillment of the purposes for which such Personal Information is collected, or upon your formal request to us to cease storing of your personal data, or as permitted by applicable law. While SEC will make all reasonable efforts to store personal information collected by us in a secure server and/or secure files and to keep this information accurate and up-to-date, the Internet is not a secure medium for the transmission of information. Therefore, SEC cannot accept responsibility for, warrant or guarantee, the security of information you send to or receive from SEC over the Internet. You also agree that SEC also will not assume responsibility or liability for any claim, damage or loss connected to the loss of, or unauthorised use of, any personal information, whether by unauthorised access to the server or files or otherwise. Unauthorised access to the SEC server or files, whether to upload or modify information or to use the Contents, is strictly prohibited and may be punishable by law, including, without limitation, the Computer Misuse Act (Cap 50A).

SEC will maintain reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. You hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
